Since 2005, when the Oliver winery decided to seek out a Canadian, child-focused, community-based charity to contribute to, Tinhorn Creek Vineyards has donated over $43,000 to help fund programs run by Boys and Girls Clubs in British Columbia and Alberta communities.  The presentation, which marks the third year of giving, was made during Tinhorn Creek Vineyards' spring tasting, an exclusive event held at Vancouver's beyond restaurant + lounge for members of the Winery's "Crush Club".  For more information on Tinhorn Creek Vineyards and Crush Club, visit www.tinhorn.com or call 250.498.3743.

For over 100 years, Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada has provided a safe, supportive place where children and youth can experience new opportunities, overcome barriers, build positive relationships and develop confidence and skills for life.  This year, the donation will support programs for children from pre-school to pre-adult and has been split between Calgary, Edmonton, Oliver, Vancouver and Victoria.  Tinhorn Creek's contribution will fund programs such as: Learning and Career Development-Homework Clubs, the 'Create a Ripple Campaign' which will enable Boys and Girls Club to continue running camp programs, the Youth Council Leadership Program, Ready, Set, Go! Preschool and Parent Education Program, and the Oliver Youth Centre and Mobile Program Initiative.  For more information on Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada visit www.bcccan.com.

Tinhorn Creek Vineyards is the premiere winery in British Columbia's South Okanagan Valley. With a spectacular view of the southern valley, hospitality second to none in the region and voted Best Red Wine of Canada 2001, Tinhorn Creek is the starting point of travel on the Golden Mile.  For further information on the winery, check out their website at www.tinhorn.com.
